Mobile phone maker Xolo is reportedly gearing up for the launch of a new high-end Android-based smartphone, one that has just emerged online under the name of XOLO Play T1000.

No official info on the new device has been provided, but rumor has it that it would be the first smartphone from the company to pack a Tegra 3 processor inside.

XOLO Play T1000 is said to be formally introduced later this month, while expected to sport a 1.5GHz CPU inside, and a 4.7-inch HD touchscreen display.

The info comes from Androidnova.org, which also claims that the device would be packing an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of full HD video recording, along with a 2MP camera on the front for making video calls.

Running under Google’s Android Jelly Bean operating system, the new mobile phone is said to pack a 2000mAh battery inside and to be capable of offering support for advanced gaming while on the go.

With ULP GeForce Graphics included in the package, the device would also sport 1GB of RAM, along with 8GB of internal memory. No mention of a microSD memory card slot was found, but one should be present inside the device as well.

The XOLO Play T1000 was also spotted in the NenaMark 2 database, with specifications similar to those listed above.

However, with no official confirmation available on the new mobile phone, we’ll have to take the info above with a grain of salt, at least until a formal announcement is made.

Additionally, as a recent article on AndroidOS notes, a leaked internal doc from XOLO unveils that the smartphone might be released with a price tag of INR 15,999 ($295 / 224 Euro) attached to it.

Hopefully, specific info on the XOLO Play T1000 will indeed be unveiled before the end of this month, so stay tuned to learn the news on the matter.
