XOLO is one of India's top smartphone makers thanks to its huge Android portfolio. Since the competition is fierce in India, XOLO needs to stay on top by releasing new smartphones very often.

That being said, those who follow the company's announcements probably know that XOLO aims to launch new smartphones every two weeks or so.

The latest addition to its big Android portfolio is called LT2000 and will soon sell in India for only Rs 9,999, which is about $160 (€150) outright, AndroidOS reports.

It's also worth mentioning that you won't be finding this smartphone at every Indian retailer. According to XOLO, the LT2000 will be exclusive to Snapdeal and customers will only be able to order the black color version.

Even if the price of the smartphone is not that high, it's a bit said that more than five months since the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop, we still get mid-range phones powered by previous versions of the OS.

It comes with KitKat upgradeable to Lollipop

In this case, XOLO LT2000 ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box. The good news is the Indian maker promises that the smartphone will be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop at some point.

Moving on to specs, one of the major features for such a low price phone is 4G LTE support. Obviously, the LT2000 features dual-SIM support, but also microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

XOLO LT2000 is equipped with a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

On the back, there's an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

The LT2000 sports a 5.5-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display and it's powered by a more than decent 2,920 mAh battery which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
