Some regions of the world sometimes don't have a device available, while other times their stores sell things not found anywhere else, and something like this is now happening in Europe, courtesy of XFX.

Although the AMD Radeon HD 6900 series of graphics adapters is the one with all the top-grade adapters, the HD 6800 has been getting more customers.

Of course, considering the fact that 6800 cards are, essentially, mainstream-level ones, albeit of the stronger variety, this is not such a shock.

Among the companies that deals in such AMD-based adapters is XFX, outfit that used to be one of NVIDIA's best-known partners before the latter cut ties with it, since XFX began to make AMD boards as well.

Either way, it looks like XFX has a certain product on sale in European countries, that being a variation of the Radeon HD 6870 graphics adapter.

The product in question goes by the name of Radeon HD 6870 Black Edition and is a factory overclocked version (naturally) of the original.

The GPU, for instance, runs at 940 MHz instead of 900 MHz, while the 1 GB of GDDR5 VRAM functions at 4,600 MHz (stock clock is of 4,200 MHz).

The 1,120 Stream processors are very much alive and well, as is the memory interface of 256 bits and, of course, the connectivity (dual-DVI, dual mini DisplayPort and HDMI).

This hardware is kept cool by a dual-slot cooler with three copper heatpipes (apparently) and two fans.

Finally, CrossFireX support exists, along with HD3D support and EyeFinity. The price is of as low as 169 Euro, although the sum differs depending on the online retailer.

One of the listings that veers closer to the lower spectrum of price points is the one on Caseking, followed more or less closely by the one on this website.
