The clamshell is the first walkman phone available on pay-as-you-go

The mobile virtual network operator, committed to offering affordable mobile phones on pay-as-you-go for young people, has announced the most recent addition to their phone lineup, the Sony Ericsson W300. The mobile phone is the first Sony Ericsson Walkman phone available for the pay-as-you-go market. Xe Mobile showcased the mobile phone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Thus, Xe Members will soon be able to enjoy the W300, a mobile phone that provides a great sound experience as well as a large number of features. The clamshell offers up to 30 hours of music listening, dedicated music keys, a shuffle function and support for MP3 and AAC music files.

It comes with a 256MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) memory card, and if that's not enough, the card can be replaced with an up to 1GB card of the same type. Other features include an FM Radio with RDS and flight mode, stereo headset support, a 4x digital zoom integrated camera, 262k color main TFT display with 128 x 160 pixel resolution, a secondary display that provides media player information and caller ID details, and Bluetooth technology, allowing data sharing with other Bluetooth devices.

The flip phone measures 90 x 47 x 24 mm, weighs 94 grams and offers the same great music quality as higher-end Walkman phones. It will be available on Xe Mobile for a price of $99.9 and with the features it includes, it will surely become quite popular among Xe Mobile's young customers.
