Well what do you know, Sierra Entertainment is giving Xbox 360 gamers an early Christmas present tomorrow morning, as the Xbox Live Marketplace will list a Multiplayer Demo of TimeShift, available for free download.

However, neither Sierra, nor Saber Interactive (the game's developer) have confirmed any other details about the demo, so you'll just have to wait until tomorrow to download the multiplayer demo yourself and see what it hides. Well, at least we know it features multiplayer, so I guess that's better than nothing.

Based in the near future, TimeShift tells the story of renowned test pilot Colonel Michael Swift, who has been tapped by the US Government to test two of the most significant inventions of the century - a time-control device called the Quantum Suit and a time machine called the Chronomicon. Swift is briefly sent back in time to 1911 to plant an experimental probe. Upon his return to the present, the world has changed beyond all recognition, and his knowledge of this timeshift has made him an enemy of the state. Swift is now both on the run and on a mission to set time straight once again and the world's very existence rests in his hands.

TimeShift is a FPS developed by Saber Interactive and published by Sierra Entertainment. The game allows players to manipulate time of course, this being the object of the game. Players will have to use the time-manipulating Beta Suit wisely though, along with the huge arsenal of weaponry and vehicles if they want to control each battle sequence and make it further into the game.

As for the online modes, it has been confirmed that TimeShift will sport a comprehensive 16-player multiplayer mode, featuring time grenades, 14 different maps and over 40 other features, allowing matches to be completely customizable too.

Basic gameplay features (for the full version of the game that is) look a little something like this:

- Slow, stop, and reverse the flow of time while you remain totally unaffected - Manipulate time and eliminate enemies through 11 missions and over 30 levels - Select from 10 incredibly detailed, unique weapons, each with standard and alternate fire - Compete against up to 16 players online using time as a weapon - Explore the Steampunk inspired Krone Era and become immersed in an alternate reality of metal, gears, and plasma energy

TimeShift has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. Here's the game's official website for more information on the upcoming FPS, launching on the 19th of November for PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC demo for the game is already available. You can download it right HERE, right now!
