The two Steves that founded Apple over three decades ago have made headlines this week, with Jobs routinely answering to customers’ emails on the iPhone 4 topic, and Wozniak… well, for using his personal car to drive a fan to the iPhone 4 launch at the Apple Store inside the Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, California. Didn’t expect this one, did you?

Steve Jobs sheds light on the intuitiveness of multitasking

With the release of iOS 4, Apple introduced a highly-anticipated and highly-useful feature for iPhone and iPod touch owners - the ability to run multiple applications in parallel, without having to quit one to use another. This ability is known as “multitasking”, although iOS 4 has a different approach - apps don’t really continue to run in the background, but rather stay suspended, waiting for the user to bring them back to life as their icons are tapped. Although the feature may sound difficult to use, Steve Jobs assures one customer that it’s not.

In response to a MacDailyNews reader who wondered whether iOS 4 multitasking was difficult to understand for the average user, Apple’s CEO reportedly said: "People shouldn't have to understand multitasking. Just use is [sic] as designed, and you'll be happy. No need to ever quit apps." The site allegedly verified the authenticity of the email, claiming it “definitely seems legit”.

Steve Wozniak drives fan to iPhone 4 launch

The Woz is notorious for queuing up to buy his latest Apple gadget, just like your regular Apple fan. However, not even those who know him closely would expect the guy to pick up folks and drive them to the Apple Store. But he did, and we’re really not surprised, for one reason or another.

According to a report by Edible Apple, the Apple co-founder had met a high school student named Parth Dhebar during the iPad’s official debut while sitting in line to buy the Apple tablet. Since then, Dhebar and the Woz have been keeping in touch. On the night before the iPhone 4 launch day, Wozniak reportedly drove to Dhebar’s house and picked him up.

As the two were heading to the Apple Store inside the Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, California, Dhebar took a photo of Steve’s dashboard, where 2 GPS systems and two iPhones can be spotted. Upon arriving at the location, Woz took some time to sign autographs for Apple fans, and then waited in line to get his iPhone 4. No wonder he is America’s most lovable geek.
