14 DAY TRIAL // A couple of days ago, word got out online that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend from his “Twilight’ days, was heartbroken by his recent and surprising engagement to girlfriend of 8 months FKA Twigs. Apparently, Kristen thought that this was his way of getting back at her.
She was also upset that he would propose to Twigs after such a short time dating, when she’d been with him for years and he always made sure to let her know marriage wasn’t an option he was willing to consider.
Kristen “will survive Robert’s engagement”
Well, worry not, Kristen isn’t affected by the engagement news as the tabloids would have you believe, a friend of hers says for People Magazine. In fact, she is not affected by it in the least, because she’s moved on from the bad breakup and is simply too busy right now to look back on it.
“Kristen is doing fine, working and traveling, and she will survive Robert’s engagement,” says the source. “Kristen lives a much more low-key life now and seems happier. It was obvious that she was struggling with the media attention [during her relationship with Rob].”
She has considerably more freedom these days, when she’s on her own, which means she can do more of the things she loves without fearing prying eyes.
Kristen has also been working more in film: her last 3 movies, “Still Alice,” “The Clouds of Sils Maria” and “Camp X-Ray,” have been well received by critics, even those who had mocked her for her performance in the “Twilight” movies.
She shows promise, they say. Kristen, on the other hand, has admitted in a recent interview that she’s not driven by her desire to win an Oscar but rather by the idea that, if she gets more credibility in the industry, she might be allowed the chance to direct as well.
Robert and Twigs are planning a summer wedding
So now that we know that Kristen is fine with Robert moving on, when should we expect to hear wedding bells for the handsome Brit and his talented singer fiancée?
According to reports online, Twigs wants an unconventional ceremony, something like a pub wedding. Robert’s parents, on the other hand, want them to get married in church.
Insiders also claim that they’re preparing for a summer wedding, but they’re yet to set a definite date. They’re free spirits like that.
