Fun times with the small worms

Recently, games have been considered something of a very serious hobby and a lot of players have forgotten that, in the first place, games should entertain us with pure mindless fun. That was the case with the Worms series of titles, which introduced us to a variety of tiny worms that packed a huge arsenal of conventional and, most importantly, unconventional weapons.

After a variety of titles made for almost any type of platform out there, it now seems that users of the Xbox 360 will get a second taste of the famous worms, as the Australian Ratings Board has just let it slip that Worms Armageddon Decade has been classified at the request of Microsoft. As such, it seems that the 10-year-old game will be arriving with its full arsenal of weapons onto the Xbox Live Arcade.

Appearing as published by Microsoft, it seems that this title won't be appearing on the PlayStation Network or WiiWare online services anytime soon though, but don't count the weapon-filled worms out for an appearance on Sony's PlayStation 3 or Nintendo's Wii just yet.

Worms Armageddon Decade has been launched 10 years ago for the Nintendo 64 and the PC, providing a wide variety of weapons that the player could choose from to eliminate his enemies and become the last worm standing in a variety of levels filled with puzzles or destroyable objects.

Don't forget that this isn't the only Worms games available for download on the Xbox Live Arcade, as XBLA Worms has also been launched a long time ago, but didn't become as popular because the creators at Team 17 needed to leave out a lot of weapons due to the size limit of 50 megabytes that was imposed back then. Hopefully, we'll hear something concrete from either Microsoft or Team 17 soon.
