Thrill seekers from around the world can now rejoice because Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark just announced a new ride that will put to shame even the Insano ride from Beach Park Fortaleza in Brazil. The ride will be the tallest waterslide in the world, having a record-breaking height of more than 140 feet.

The Waterpark is currently building a “four-person Master Blaster water-coaster uphill waterslide [that] will change the face of thrill ride history,” according to Amusement Today. The Meg-a-Blaster will combine the best elements of Schlitterbahn's water-ride technology with the art behind speed slides.

“This new Meg-a-Blaster speed-slide is going to wow our guests and is going to be a game changer for our industry. Our greatest challenge will be to find thrill seekers brave enough to ride,” Jeff Henry, co-owner at Schlitterbahn and award winning designer for world-class attractions, explained while talking about the crazy ride.

In order to assure the Meg-a-Blaster's record, the final statistics were not made public and they will be released once the construction is unveiled. The current record for the tallest attraction belongs to Brazil with its Insano attraction located in Fortaleza Beach Park, which holds a stunning height of 134.5 feet (41 meters) and reaches speeds as high as 65.2 mph.

Currently under construction, the world's tallest waterslide will open in spring 2014. The Meg-a-Blaster is supposed to top the Insano ride both in height and in speed and offer guests an unforgettable thrilling experience. Hopefully, the ride will end with a similar gigantic construction, a Meg-a-Pool big enough to attenuate the speed of the ride.

Besides Brazil's Insano ride, other crazy waterslides have been known for offering thrilling experiences to adventure seekers. Dubai has one of the craziest rides in the world at Atlantis The Palms Resort, as well as West Palm's Beach Rapids Waterpark whose Big Thunder streams riders through a 45-degree drop with speeds as high as 20 mph.
