Narrow houses are becoming somewhat of a trend these days. With space at a premium in crowded cities, people are using any space they can get their hands on and coming up with imaginative designs to make the most out of what little of it is available.

But when you think of record small houses, places like Tokyo spring to mind, not Warsaw in Poland. But that's where the current narrowest house in the world resides.

Built between two apartment blocks, the house is barely wide enough to fit one person, two people are going to have to squeeze by one another.

The alley where it was built is only 152 cm, 5 feet across. The house itself is only 72 cm, 2.36 feet to 122 cm, 4 feet at its widest.

The house is more of an art project than an actual home, but the fact that it was built and that it's functional is a testament to the determination of its creators.
