A company in the Netherlands that goes by the name E-Njoint BV has recently announced the creation of what it claims to be the first electronic joint the world has until now seen.

The device, an image of which is available above, is basically a regular electronic cigarette, with one very important difference: users can fill it with their own cannabis liquid.

What's more, Dutch company E-Njoint BV says that its so-called e-joint, dubbed E-Njoint, is also equipped with a vaporizer that makes it possible for users to fill it up with actual dry herbs.

Looking to make sure that their customers will get the full experience when using their e-joints, E-Njoint BV has opted for a design that it says resembles the shape and size of the average spliff.

Besides, this alleged world's first electronic joint sports a green cannabis leaf at one end. Whenever somebody starts puffing on the device, the leaf lights up, probably to help users keep tabs on what end of the e-joint should go inside their mouth.

In a recent interview with the press, Menno Contant, the current CEO of E-Njoint BV, has explained that, all things considered, it should not come as a surprise that the world's first e-joint was developed in the Netherlands and not some other country.

“Holland is well known in the world for its tolerant and liberal attitude toward soft drugs and the introduction of this new product clearly makes a statement,” Menno Contant has said in a statement.

“As long as you don't bother or disturb other people and stay within the legal boundaries, all is well,” the CEO of E-Njoint BV goes on to argue, as cited by Mirror.

Information shared with the public says that, for the time being, Dutch company E-Njoint BV makes about 10,000 e-joints on a daily basis. By the looks of it, the devices are being sold all across Europe, and the Dutch company has not even had to invest all that much in marketing.

“A manufacturers dream. Developed, manufactured and sold at lightning speed. Everyone should feel fine, because what we are doing is no crime,” company CEO Menno Contant explains while talking to the press.

In case anyone was wondering, word has it that E-Njoint BV has some really big plans for the future. Thus, the company is now looking into the possibility to enter a partnership with Tikum Olam, a company that specializes in promoting the use of medical cannabis.

A detailed account of what this partnership will entail is yet to be shared with the public, but E-Njoint BV claims that its end goal is to turn its e-joints into health products.
