Players will find a new NPC vendor in their Garrisons

Blizzard Entertainment shared the patch notes for the upcoming 6.1 patch last week, but it appears that one exciting change managed to skip unnoticed.

An unexpected addition to 6.1 will be a follower vendor that players will be able to find in their Garrisons, where they will be able to purchase additional followers that they might have missed during their playthrough.

Garrisons were introduced in World of Warcraft's latest expansion, Warlords of Draenor, revisiting a popular chapter of the game lore and enabling fans to follow the events of the orcs' rise to power playing out in a different way.

They are basically a sort of mini-game that enables you to log in and send followers on missions, earning you gold, items and various other neat things such as crafting materials.

As the number of follower slots is limited to 20 (25 with a Barracks) and there are some that you won't be able to get while progressing through the expansion content, Blizzard decided to make things easier for those interested in catching them all.

Players will be able to get followers in a more straightforward manner

Community Manager Chritho discussed the feedback provided by fans on the Battle.net forums, informing of the upcoming change.

"One specific change I can share is in the next patch we're planning to add a new NPC to tier 3 Garrisons who will sell followers you might not have access to based upon which buildings and Outposts you've chosen. Definitely keep an eye out for that on the next PTR, test it out, and let us know what you think," he wrote.

For the time being, there aren't too many details on some of the upcoming changes, such as how exactly players will be able to purchase new recruits, but one thing is certain, you won't have to make any sacrifices when it comes to the buildings you erect in your Garrison due to constraints related to getting certain followers, and you won't have to worry about quests that you might have missed.
