World of Warcraft may be an old massively multiplayer online role-playing game, but despite its age, it has weathered the years well, thanks to several expansion packs, one of which saw the entire virtual world sundered (again).

SteelSeries decided to provide fans of the MMO game with a specially-themed version of one of its best headphone sets: the Siberia Elite. Thus, Siberia Elite World of Warcraft Edition Headset was born, with a price of $219.99 / €219.99.

The product has black ear cushions, illuminated runes on the back of the earcups, and an overall lightweight design, which means that you won't feel your ears or head start to ache even after hours of wearing the thing.

The ring of runes is lit with any color you choose from millions of options. You can even assign different hues to each audio profile and set the glow to pulse or change dynamically based on the in-game actions. Obviously, you can turn off the light as well.

As for the actual sound quality, it is fully 7.1-channel (the closed-type earcup design helps there) and renders clear audio through multiple Dolby technologies. Profiles are saved via the SteelSeries Engine 3 software. The volume and microphone can be controlled through dials on each earcup.

Pre-order of the SteelSeries Siberia Elite World of Warcraft Edition headset are open, but shipments won't begin for a while yet.
