Victor Kislyi, who is the Chief Executive Officer at Wargaming.net, stated when the announcement was made, “Putting World Of Tanks to store shelves is one of the major milestones throughout our presence in Europe. We'd like to thank our partners Deep Silver for their help in World of Tanks box distribution.”

World of Tanks is a free-to-play team based online game which emphasizes armored warfare, allowing players to choose between the United States, the Soviet Union and Germany and control their best fighting vehicles and tanks on variety of battlefields.

There are more than 150 different vehicles to choose from and each one of them can be upgraded to suit the gamer’s style, with crews also playing a major role in battlefield success.

Wargaming.net is at the moment also working on World of Planes a battleship game built around the same concept.
