These guys probably want to win the prize for the ugliest media player on the market. Strangely, the fellows from Newsmy have a bunch of decent media players that we have already written about. This time, they probably wanted to get the geek, but...they got the freak!

After intense debates, they decided to name the player Mini All VX-1000. The name should suggest the multi-functional convergence of the device, although I have the feeling that mini stands for the design line. It's true, they managed to pack a pretty wide plethora of capabilities.

For starters, it features a PDA-like functionality, compatible with the Skype support, so popular these days. But, this also means that even if it cannot connect properly to any existing cellular network, it still allows wireless calling straight on the device.

In addition, the portable media player is said to use the Windows CE VET 5.0 OS. Not to mention the built-in SKYPE compliance, which apparently is capable of operating via a dial up connection. Its greatest spec is definitely its WiFI 802.11b+ connectivity.

But the Mini All can also deal with MSN and QQ instant messaging services, which makes it great as a portable Internet gizmo. When it doubles as a PDA, the portable media player makes a good impression with its amazing full reading and editing support for MS Office. It can basically handle all the stuff: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Oh, and the content looks great on a 4 inch LCD screen, doesn't it?

However, when it acts as a media player, the device supports a lot of formats, such as MP3, WMA, ACC, OGG and ASF, WAV for the audio media content. It can also playback some video files, if you feed it AVI, WMV, ASF, 3GP, divx and H.264 files.

Still, I cannot ignore its strange and scary shape, which is probably comfortable in the owner's hands. Besides playing music or video, it can also be a great gaming companion. And this could be a possible explanation for its PSP like shape. It can cope with 3D, Flash and simulator NES games support.

And hey, calm down! There is no official price tag announced, at least for the time being! Ugly thing...
