The result of a recent survey showed that females own more consoles than male gamers, a shocking statistic for a seemingly male-oriented industry. It turns out that 44% of the girls own consoles and just 39% of us males have such a device at home... Could it be that the huge number of masculine gamers who are always online play the newest titles on their girlfriends' consoles?

1,000 respondents took part in this online survey, conducted between Sept 7 and the 11th. There goes the stereotype of the standard US gamer, with an age ranging from 18 to 34, single and...male. A woman won't buy a game, just because the main character shows you some skin (some will), but rather because they can identify with the heroine. I've mentioned action games and Rayman, but we all know what you girlfriend's favorite game is: The Sims and all of its sequels. This title itself is enough to guarantee huge sales for all of the consoles hosting ports of the acclaimed game. So, it turns out that behind every successful console, there's a lady buyer...
