I suppose some people cannot and will not ever learn that harassing animals is something they must never do.

Especially if the animal they've set their eyes on is considered to be endangered and therefore protected by ongoing legislations.

A woman in Florida has recently been filmed while attempting to mount a manatee and hitch a ride on its back. The incident took place in Sarasota, Huffington Post informs us.

Ironically enough, it was just a few days back when a man found himself questioned by police officers after deciding to jump on the backs of two such animals.

One can only assume that this woman didn't get the chance to hear this man's story on the news.

Otherwise she would have been aware of the fact that simply touching a manatee is currently a second-degree misdemeanor and that her actions could buy her either some jail time, or a $500 (€387.31) fine.

The same source reports that the woman was accompanied by a man who did not try to ride the animal, but who did not shy away from petting it.
