A woman who was witnessing an attempted suicide on the Brooklyn bridge decided that the best way to capture the moment was with a self-taken photograph with the guy trying to jump from the famous New York landscape.

The blonde woman, who decided to remain anonymous, was visiting New York City when she found herself witnessing an attempted suicide. The bridge jumper was talked down by the police while onlookers were watching for at least 25 minutes.

One of the people not-so-shocked by the dramatic statement decided to enrich the worldwide selfie collection with one picture of her and the suicidal jumper. Photographers present at the site also decided to immortalize the moment by snapping a photo of the woman who pulled out her phone to take a self-shot, according to Daily Mail.

The tourist made sure that the suicidal Brooklyn Bridge jumper was captured in the photo together with her blonde locks. While police officers were desperately trying to save the man's life with boats and helicopters, the woman took selfies like a true 2013 tourist. It's not like she didn't know what was happening, the shocking thing is that she was actually aware, hence the reason of the photo.

Weird self-taken photos obsession is an actual thing, with the world's weirdest photographs appearing on social media sites and the term “selfie” becoming an actual word in the Oxford Dictionary. Some of this kind of photos became viral, like the notorious son that murdered his mom and then posted a photo with him and him mother's severed head.

Another enthusiast posted a photo from the classroom of him and his high-school teacher going through labor. More funny photos include a girl tackled by security while running onto the field of a World Series game and a Valedictorian from a famous University snapping himself a picture while addressing his fellow colleagues.
