Margit Arrobio of Pasadena bought five tickets at the wrong time

Imagine the luck on one woman from Pasadena who bought the winning $360M (€280M) Powerball jackpot ticket. Unfortunately, the numbers had already been announced so the ticket was not valid.

Margit Arrobio would have been a millionaire on May 15, were it not for that pesky time limit. She bought five lotto tickets at a Shell gas station in Pasadena.

"I called my gas station where I bought the ticket and I said, 'I don't get it. I have every number and yet they say there's no winner,'" Arrobio tells KABC.

She acquired them sometime around 8 p.m., but she was one hour late as they could only participate in the drawing if they were bought before 7 p.m.

Nobody wound up winning on Wednesday, and the jackpot was set at $590.5 million (€459 million) for the next draw.
