A New York City woman who realized she had met the man of her dreams on a flight appealed to social media to track him down and reconnect with him.

Erica Domesek met her better half while flying from Dallas to Calgary on March 15, but, when she disembarked the American Airlines flight, the woman forgot to give him her contact details, so she decided to ask the airline company for help to get in touch with him.

Domesek, who is the founder of the DIY lifestyle brand “P.S. - I Made This,” tweeted to American Airlines earlier this month, explaining that she had met her “future husband” on a plane ride but hadn’t caught his last name.

After the first tweet, the airline explained they weren’t allowed to give out passenger details and wished her the best of luck in her quest. However, Erica was determined to find the man and her persistence convinced the company to lend a hand.

Metro tells us that American Airlines retweeted the woman’s pleas to their 784,000 followers and asked her to keep them updated. Her message went viral.

“You could profess your #romance here in hopes he or a friend tweets us. We won’t mind,” the airline said in their reply.

That’s when Erica started to share some details about the man and forwarded a photo she had taken of him to some friends. She also mentioned that she thought they were meant to be together, as she wasn't even supposed to be on that flight.

Her story quickly spread across the social network, and the mystery man from Turin was eventually tracked down in New York City.

Erica and her Prince Charming, whose name is Clauco, reconnected after a real-life friend of hers spotted the man at an Apple Store and recognized him from the picture sent by Domesek.

“To close the book on this story. The universe brought us together and he's amazing. Full stop,” Erica wrote on Twitter to keep users updated.

However, she declined to provide any further details, so it remains unclear how things worked between the two.

Well, it wasn’t really social media or the airline that brought them together, but they also played an important role in this modern love story, so the woman tweeted American Airlines to thank them for their help soon after she found Clauco.

“That's amazing! We hope you'll live Happily Ever After. Invite us to the wedding, virtually of course,” the company responded.
