Final versions of Wolvix Cub and Hunter were made available to the general public yesterday: "I'm pleased to announce the final release of Wolvix Cub and Wolvix Hunter version 1.1.0. This release marks a turning point in the Wolvix development as it's not longer a Slax remaster, but now based on the stable Slackware releases and the Linux-Live scripts." , the Wolvix developers said. Except for the fact the Wolvix CDs are now based on a stable Slackware release, the following fixes and enhancements are also included:
■ Added updated fonts cache to the xorg module. ■ Removed Ekiga from Hunter as it has a dependency to Evolution. ■ Moved Cyrus-sasl from Hunter to Cub. Required by Claws Mail. ■ Moved Kino from Cub to Hunter due to increased size of the Xorg module. ■ Made the Fluxbox module more independent from the Xfce module ■ Replaced the extra wallpapers with new using the new logo ■ Added synaptics and changed the mouse protocol from 'imps' to 'any'. (This should make it easier to set up touchpads right.)
Also, the following applications were updated:
■ Flashplayer 9.0.48.0 ■ Mozilla-Firefox 2.0.0.6 ■ Mozilla-Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 ■ Kino 1.1.0 ■ Pidgin 2.1.0 ■ gPodder 0.9.4 ■ medit 0.8.9 ■ NoteCase 1.6.1
