Film by David Hayter drops this fall, feels like big screen version of MTV’s “Teen Wolf”

If you haven’t had enough of vampires and werewolves, here’s a new movie that promises you a genuine overdose on the latter. It’s called “Wolves” and, as you can see above, it just got its very first trailer.

The trailer makes it look like David Hayter’s new film is like a big screen version of MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” a comparison that, even if you liked said show, is not favorable.

Starring “X-Men: First Class” young mutant Lucas Till and “Game of Thrones’” Khal Drogo aka Jason Momoa, the film sees a teenage boy realize he’s actually a wolf. He leaves his home town and moves away, into one that is actually inhabited only by wolves: two warring factions’ worth of them.

Momoa plays the leader of one of these factions, with whose girlfriend (Merritt Patterson) the younger wolf falls in love.

Based on this first trailer only, the film doesn’t look particularly original or smart or, for that matter, well-made but hey, Jason Momoa looking like Khal Drogo. I’m sold. Plus, it seems to me like a “so bad it’s actually good” type of movie.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments section below and, if you feel the same way I do about it, keep an eye out for “Wolves” in theaters this fall.
