If you ever wondered which superhero would win in a hypothetical clash between the biggest and most powerful of them all, worry not: a new poll has the answer. Wolverine, with his power of accelerated healing, has “top superpower.”

Rental company Lovefilm conducted a poll on 3,000 of its customers to see which power they ranked highest with their favorite superheroes, the Vancouver Sun informs, citing a Reuters report.

It turns out that’s the power of accelerated healing that Wolverine from “X-Men” boasts, which makes him literally indestructible, is the one most regular Joes and Janes would covet, since 22 percent of those queried ranked it highest.

Second spot goes to another “X-Men” character, the founding father of X-Men, Professor X. His telepathic / psionic powers earned him 21 percent of the votes of those queried in the poll.

At number three, we find a rather surprising name, in the sense that many would argue he should have landed at number one. For his power of flight, Superman got 15 percent of the votes.

The Hulk is at number four for his super-strength (with 11 percent), while Sue Storm of the “Fantastic Four” rounds up the top 15 with the power of invisibility and 8 percent of the votes.

At number six, there’s a tie between Storm of “X-Men” and the power of weather control (7 percent) and The Human Torch from “Fantastic Four” with Flame-on! (also 7 percent).

Daredevil lands at number 8 with his supersenses and 4 percent of the votes, while Spiderman occupies a measly ninth position with his power of web-slinging (3 percent).

The top 10 of super-powers is rounded up by Dash from “The Incredibles” with the power of super-speed and just 2 percent of the votes.

“Having worked with comic books for most of my career and naturally being a huge fan of superhero films, a few of the results really surprised me,” comic artist Jack Lawrence is quoted as saying.

A wild guess would be that he’s referring to Spider-Man’s low ranking. Sound off in the comments.
