They should last for up to 8 hours on a single charge

Harman never shies away from a challenge, especially when that challenge is to make a new set of headphones that people will fall in love with. Here is the latest attempt.

The company has just introduced the JBL WR2.4 headphones, which have no cord, because they can use the 2.4 GHz digital bandwidth for communication instead.

They have a nice range too, of 100 feet (30 meters), and the sound quality shouldn't suffer at all depending on distance, within that range anyway.

The rechargeable batteries are competent as well, capable of lasting for over 8 hours on a single charge.

"We've married premium audio for your TV, home theater, MP3 player, DVD or cable box with the freedom you've always enjoyed with room-filling stereo systems," said Michael Mauser, president Harman Lifestyle.

"These headphones deliver the carefully-crafted listening experience we're famous for, without tying you down with cables."

Harman is one of those brand vendors that is never really satisfied with half measures. So while it could make average, run-off-the-mill speakers and headphones, it tries not to.

Instead, it offers as much aesthetic value as possible, as well as ease of use and other ways of enhancing convenience, like rechargeable AAA batteries and a pick-up-and-go charging cradle and power adapter.

What's more, a dual RCA audio cable is included in the package, which connects the audio system to the transmitter base.

That's right, it doesn't matter if the thing playing the songs doesn't have wireless support. A transmitter base handles that.

Other specifications include 18 Hz to 20 kHz sound range, and a 32-ohm impedance (wide range of listening volumes). The price is of $99.95 / €75.51. The JBL website should have all this information, and more, for those that haven't yet decided if they want to part with that much money.
