At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, manufacturers from all around the world gathered to showcase some of their latest advancements, and devices that run under Windows were there as well. Those who have been keeping an eye on the flood of news coming from CES 2012 have certainly spotted the variety of the PCs, notebooks, laptops, handsets and other devices that were launched at the event.

Among these, we can count products powered by Microsoft’s Windows platform. Major brands like Acer, ASUS, Samsung, or Sony unveiled hot new hardware running under the OS.

2012 is expected to become the year of Windows. There will be new Windows 7-based PCs available for purchase, along with Windows-powered tablets, Windows Phones, and more.

Acer Aspire S5, one of the world’s thinnest notebooks, was showcased with Windows 7. Samsung’s next-gen Series 9 ultramobile laptop was there as well, along with the ASUS UX Zenbook UX21, which is both powerful and highly appealing.

Sony brought along its VAIO Z Series with Windows 7, while HP had to showcase the HP ENVY 14 Spectre thin and light PC. Lenovo’s IdeaCentre A720 27-inch all-in-one also boasts Windows 7, and so does VIZIOs’ new prototype PC. Toshiba’s ultralight new Portégé Z830 is also worth mentioning.

Windows 7 can be admired at CES 2012 on the big screen as well. There’s the Sharp 80" AQUOS Board for that, an 80-inch LED-LCD interactive display meant to replace traditional whiteboard and/or projection systems.

To complete Microsoft’s three-screen strategy, partners brought along Windows Phone devices at CES. Two vendors had new hardware to show to the world, namely HTC and Nokia.

The two new smartphones launched at the event, HTC TITAN II and Nokia Lumia 900, are expected to arrive on shelves at AT&T in the US in the coming months, featuring support for the carrier’s LTE network.

Microsoft just came up with a slideshow to offer you a glimpse at all these products. It can be accessed on its website. In addition to photos, you will be able to access detailed info on these Windows-powered devices.
