Redmond-based software giant Microsoft and Australian wireless carrier Telstra have finally started the delivery of the NoDo software update for the Windows Phone 7 users on the operator's airwaves.

The software update started to arrive on unbranded handsets several weeks ago, but carriers delayed its availability a little longer.

Among them, Telstra seems to have delayed the release of NoDo the most.

However, the update already started to roll-out on the carrier's devices, and includes the May security update as well, just as Microsoft announced only recently.

“Today we began delivering the March update to Telstra customers in Australia. (This update also includes 7392, the fraudulent certificate update I mentioned last week.),” Eric Hautala, GM, Customer Experience Engineering, Microsoft, notes in a recent blog post.

He also mentions the fact that this was the only recent change that was made in the Where’s my phone update? Table, which can be seen on Microsoft's website here.

Currently, the NoDo software update was delivered or is being delivered to almost the entire series of Windows Phone 7 devices available on the market at the moment.

However, there still are some users who have issues with receiving the updates, and Microsoft already acknowledged the problem, though it might take a while before it would be able to resolve the underlying issues.

“I know some of you are eager for news on the Omnia 7 and Focus issues I discussed last week. We’re making progress, but I don’t have anything new to report just yet. As soon as I do, I’ll let you know,” Eric Hautala continues.

Hopefully, it would not be too long before the problem is solved, and users of a Samsung handset would be able to enjoy these updates, especially with new enhancements expected to arrive on handsets before the end of the year.

Microsoft already confirmed plans to release a new Windows Phone iteration, called Mango, which should arrive in fall with a load of new features and improvements.
