With the first Windows Phone 7 devices set to make an appearance on the market in only several weeks from now, Microsoft is making new moves towards ramping up the development of applications for the OS through publishing Windows Phone 7 Jump Start Training sessions.

Rob Miles and Andy Wigley are those who can be seen in a series of 12 sessions aimed at explaining the development of applications for the Windows Phone 7 operating system.

Each of the sessions is about :50 minutes in long, and are meant to offer details on about all the aspects involved in WP7 app development, Microsoft's Brandon Watson notes in a recent post on the Windows Phone Developer Blog.

According to him, Microsoft is committed on providing developers with as much technical content as it can, and that more should come in the near future.

“While we plan on having more live training sessions in the coming weeks and months, we are also committed to making that content available as quickly as possible to as many developers as possible,” is what Watson states.

As for what the said sessions would include, we can count a quick tour of the OS and the manner in which one can write apps for it in the introductory session, or the marketing of WP7 apps and the like in some of the final sessions.

Other sessions are focused on the building of Silverlight applications, on the development of XNA games for the platform, or on advanced application development.

The content is based on the building of apps using the Beta Windows Phone Developer Tools, but future training materials should be based on the final version of the solution, and are also expected to be localized, so as to be available for more developers.

More info on the said sessions can be found on the said blog post here.
