Are you shopping for a new Windows computer and have difficulties deciding on a specific machine? You can always turn to Microsoft for a tad of help. The Redmond company has put together a series of Windows PC Holiday Showcases, the first of which already took place in San Francisco the past week.

Make sure to watch the video embedded at the bottom of this article in order to get an idea of what the event involved, as well as see some of the very sweet gear that was on display.

“The first-ever Windows PC Holiday Showcase was a huge success! Over 40 press, analysts, enthusiasts and contest winners joined me, Brandon, Ryan and dozens of the season’s hottest Windows PCs for a night of great food, cool music, and fun gadget talk,” Microsoft’s Ben Rudolph stated.

“Check out the video for a quick overview of our favorites (including the crazy-awesome ORIGIN Big O!) and a look at the beautiful 12 Gallagher Lane art gallery. I was particularly fond of the lit pedestals we used to display each PC – it really showed them off as pieces of art.”

In addition, Ben the PC guy is always ready to lend a helping hand to customers in the market for a new Windows PC.

Users can contact him on Twitter, but they can also send questions via email (benthepcguy at hotmail.com), or comment on posts to the Ask Ben Anything Q&A column.

But don’t forget that with the 2010 holiday season, various retailers are also introducing discounts and special deals that you should hunt.

One example is Best Buy which offers a Microsoft LifeCam Studio for free when you buy a Samsung QX410.

“Starting today and going until Dec. 25, get a $99 Microsoft LifeCam Studio webcam for free when you buy a Samsung QX410 from Best Buy. With a fast processor, blazing graphics, and 7-hour battery life, the QX410 balances performance and portability,” Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc revealed.

“Use the free 1080p HD Microsoft webcam with the crystal-clear Samsung screen and you’re ready to chat face to face in HD using Windows Live Messenger or other chat program. Together, they’re perfect for keeping in touch with loved ones this holiday season.”
