Users could benefit from song downloads

We all know that there will not be any Microsoft mobile phone, and no Zune phone is to be expected either, yet it seems that the Redmond company might have some plans of bringing Zune to its Windows Mobile operating system.

For what it's worth, the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 platform will not get any Zune on it, or, if there are any chances that it might, they are quite small, but Microsoft's next-generation Windows Mobile 7 OS has all the chances of becoming a good candidate for the integration of Zune. At the same time, given the fact that the operating system is slated for release sometime next year, the software giant will have enough time to make Zune fit perfectly with the mobile platform.

There are great chances that the Zune to come with Windows Mobile will look about the same as the Desktop version. This would mean that users might enjoy the possibility to access Zune Marketplace or Zune Social, yet there are no exact details on the matter right now. Anyway, the availability of Zune with the upcoming Microsoft Windows Mobile platform might make a lot of users rejoice.

Yet, one should also take into consideration the data plan it has, for in case it is not an unlimited one the costs for downloading songs might rise a little too high sometimes. From what we've heard Microsoft intends to involve the mobile phone carriers a lot in the process, and in case one downloads songs over 3G, the costs will also be higher than when downloading via Wi-Fi.

At the same time, it seems that operators might also be involved in billing, meaning that the songs one will download might be charged directly to the phone bill, and not the credit card. One thing that could derive from this would be the possibility of cheap music subscriptions offered along with the data package at the acquisition of a Windows Mobile 7 smartphone.
