Has Windows Vista given you everything it can? Are you ready to move to the next level? Well, here is your chance to apply now and become a beta tester for Windows Fiji. Microsoft has opened the registration for the beta testing, the upcoming version of Windows Media Center codenamed Windows Fiji.

Jessica Zahn, program manager for Windows Media Center, is the source of a link to a beta participation survey for the next version of Media Center. "We're now accepting applications to be beta testers for the next release of Media Center! A couple of notes: I don't accept bribes, nor can I make promises that particular people will be chosen. We only have so many spots, and we need a diverse group of testers from across the US and from supported countries. You'll only be contacted if you're chosen, and we will choose people by May 31. Also, the survey is deliberately broad; it would probably be a mistake to assume everything we're asking about is going to end up in the next version, whenever that is," Zahn stated.

In order to be considered for a beta tester for the next version of Windows Media Center, users will have to fill in a mile long survey that is focused on several points of interest. Windows Fiji, the next version of Windows Media Center will deliver enhancements in relation to the music, video and photo tasks of the product.

Moreover, while reading between the lines I think special attention will be centered on the TV capabilities of Windows Fiji. Additionally, Microsoft seems to be preparing Windows Media Center for Windows Home Server. But all these are speculations on my part. Registrations are opened via Microsoft Connect, and the future beta testers of Windows Media Center Fiji will be contacted by email before May 31, 2007.
