That's why third-party concepts reaching the web these days are worth a look, as they not only help us imagine how a different version of Windows 10 would look on phones but also give Microsoft some new ideas on improving the operating system.
This is the case of this concept posted only by reddit user Bloq, who writes that he attempted to create a concept that still comes with pivots but also adopts the modern and all-flat look that Microsoft wants for Windows 10.
The result is undoubtedly pretty appealing, and Microsoft would really do itself a favor to at least have a look at this concept. There's no hamburger button available, and this could really be a good thing for many users out there, at least after the criticism that has hit the platform in the last few weeks.
With or without a hamburger?
Opinions on the new hamburger icon are still divided, and many users believe that, although it does seem to be inspired by the same menu on Android, it really comes in handy when trying to access features and settings.
Others, however, believe that Microsoft should stick to its traditional design elements that have helped Windows Phone become unique and easier to use. Pivots are here in these concept as well, but there's still no confirmation that Microsoft is going to keep them in Windows 10. Until now, the company seems to be more interested in the hamburger-style icon.
A new Windows 10 for phones preview build is expected to launch sometime this month and Microsoft says that more Lumia models would finally support it. Of course, no specifics have been provided, but expect flagships to finally work with the new OS as well.
