Microsoft's Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, confirms that not only is the upcoming Windows 10 operating system great for gamers on PC and Xbox One but feedback from fans will also be used to dictate new features and improvements for both products.

Microsoft has bragged about Windows 10 for quite some time now, and after a pretty lengthy wait, the big operating system is finally closing in on its July 29 launch.

Next week, at E3 2015, Microsoft's Phil Spencer is set to talk about the importance of Windows 10 for gamers on both the PC platform and the Xbox One consoles. He'll also go in-depth about the new and improved Xbox application that's going to be included in the OS, not to mention the DirectX 12 API that should boost game performance by different margins.

Windows 10 will improved based on fan feedback

During a talk on Xbox Wire, Spencer also highlights that Windows 10 will be great for gamers on all platforms and that their feedback will help Microsoft further tweak the OS as well as the Xbox app for the best experience possible.

"The Windows 10 launch on July 29 is a major milestone for Microsoft as a company. We’re working to make Windows 10 the best version of Windows ever for gaming - both for gamers and for developers. More than ever before, feedback from our fans is driving the direction of our gaming plans. Updates to the Xbox app on Windows 10 devices are being driven in large part by the fans - something that will continue through the release of Windows 10," he explains.

Spencer has quickly added that the Xbox One system software has been drastically improved over time with monthly updates based on fan feedback, so the trend will continue even with the major operating system.

Expect to hear more on Monday, June 15, when Microsoft is going to host its E3 2015 press event.
