This is how the Xbox app will work on Windows 10 Mobile

Microsoft is working on major overhauls not only for Windows 10 on PCs and smartphones, but also for the apps that are integrated in the operating system, so both platforms will try to offer a completely new experience when they go live.

The Xbox app is one of those that'll get redesigned in Windows 10, and while PC users can already give it a shot in the existing preview builds, phone users need to wait a little bit more until it becomes available.

But videos and screenshots posted today by Iranian blog WindowsCenter allegedly show the new Xbox app for Windows 10 Mobile on a Lumia 1320, so it appears that we're very close to getting the app on our devices too.

Achievements and Xbox Live messaging

The Xbox app offered to Windows 10 Mobile users will come with a feature lineup that's very similar to the one available on the PC, so you won't notice any big change if you've already tried the desktop version. Needless to say, that's something to be expected since it's a universal app, but it's still interesting to see how Microsoft brings all these features on the phone.

For example, you get the Xbox Live messaging and achievements, as well as an activity feed to stay in touch with your friends. You can post comments and access the store straight from the Xbox app running on your phone, these screenshots reveal.

Microsoft is projected to release a new build of Windows 10 Mobile sometime this month and the Xbox app is very likely to be part of this new release.

A preview version of the Office productivity suite for Windows 10 Mobile is also likely to ship with this new build, but Microsoft still refuses to provide any release date because the launch could be pushed back if any major bug is discovered.
