14 DAY TRIAL // Windows insiders are now waiting to get their hands on a new build of Windows 10, and screenshots that have gotten leaked this morning confirm that Microsoft has recently compiled a new version of the operating system.
Today, Russian leaker WZor has posted a batch of screenshots showing Windows 10 build 10134 in action, which confirms that Microsoft is advancing with the process of refining the new OS and we’re now getting closer to the release of a new build.
And yet, little can be spotted in these screenshots, which is once again living proof that Microsoft is no longer so interested in adding new features to Windows 10, but more in refining and improving the performance of the operating system, so expect the next release to be the most stable and reliable so far.
Needless to say, Microsoft hasn’t yet announced the release date of the next build, but everyone expects it to arrive sometime next week for fast ring users.
Project Spartan still there
Screenshots that were posted by Windows Insider guru Gabriel Aul earlier this week and showing Windows 10 build 10136 revealed some slightly improved icons, but in build 10134 they do not seem to be available just yet.
So this could be one of the builds that Microsoft developed internally for testing purposes only and insiders might not get this one, but a newer version that could come with a bigger number of improvements.
At the same time, Project Spartan is still there, and Microsoft is yet to make the switch to Edge branding. Microsoft Edge is the new browser that will be used in Windows 10, and Spartan is the internal codename that has been used during the preview program, but the company has already promised to change the name until RTM.
Windows 10 is projected to launch on July 29, and everyone, including insiders and Windows 7/8.1 users, should be getting the upgrade to the final tidbits during that day.
