More visual tweaks made by Microsoft in this build

Microsoft is expected to introduce a new Windows 10 Mobile preview build sometime this week, most likely today, but at the same time, the company is very likely to debut a brand new version for PCs, as development of new features has recently been completed.

As you can see in this screenshot showing Windows 10 build 10120, Microsoft is now focusing on small refinements of the experience the new OS provides to users, so several visual tweaks are part of newer builds.

Microsoft hasn’t yet said anything about the improvements coming in the next builds of Windows 10 preview, but it seems that the company is working on the looks of the operating system, rather than developing new features that could be ready in time for RTM. This could be a sign that the next Windows 10 build will be very similar to the one we’ll get when the OS is ready.

Titlebar transparency

As this screenshot posted online today by Russian leaker WZor reveals, Windows 10 build 10120 comes with titlebar transparency for apps running on the desktop, no matter if they’re designed for the desktop or for the Modern UI.

All apps now come with this transparency effect, which once again confirms that Microsoft has received your message and is working to bring back Aero in Windows 10, or at least parts of it.

While windows running on the desktop do look good, icons seem to be exactly the same in this build, so Microsoft hasn’t yet made any change in this regard. This is a bit surprising though, given the criticism in the last few months, but maybe a new icon pack will make its debut in the RTM version of Windows 10.

According to company executives, Windows 10 should debut in the summer of 2015, with some saying that July or August is very likely to witness the public unveiling of the new operating system.

Update: it turns out that this screenshot is actually fake and the blurry titlebars were created with third-party software. That would really be a great addition to Windows 10 though.
