A new version of Winamp for Android is now available for download from the Android Market, with some new features and enhancements included into the mix, meant to provide users with an even better experience than before.

The new release comes with new features like Full CD Listening Party or an improved SHOUTcast, as well as with support for additional languages, and more.

All of these enhancements add to the previously introduced improvements, which included free downloads with Spinner's MP3 of the Day, among other.

The release notes for the new flavor of Winamp for Android v1.1 show: - Additional Free Music - listen to the newest releases with Full CD Listening Party - SHOUTcast now available on most Android 2.1 devices - Streaming playback now powered by a new native Winamp media engine - Updated SHOUTcast Featured Station List - New Languages: Simplified Chinese & Traditional Chinese

With the new CD Listening Party, users will enjoy access to a great deal of free music, with full-length albums at their disposal for streaming playback.

The development team notes that users will enjoy new music each and every week, as the list of available albums is updated with new releases from the most popular artists.

“From the Home screen, select "Free Music" and then tap on "Full CD Listening Party." This week you can stream full albums from David Bowie, Depeche Mode & Def Leppard... just to name a few. Check back weekly for new free albums,” a post on the company's blog reads.

Other enhancements in the new application release involve SHOUTcast, which can deliver a better experience on Android devices through a new native streaming media engine that comes to more devices as well.

Previously, SHOUTcast was available for devices powered by Google's Android 2.2 Froyo or above platform versions, but it is now available for Android 2.1 as well.

As stated above, the new app release brings the number of supported languages up to 14: English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Romanian, Russian, Spanish & Turkish.

One thing that should be noted here is that some Motorola Droid X devices have UI issues following the upgrade to the new Android 2.3.3 platform version, and that a fix should come from Motorola.
