No less than six copies of Windows Anytime Upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium are up for grabs via the Microsoft Sweepstakes for Windows 7 WAU (Windows Anytime Upgrade) Product. Brandon LeBlanc, Windows communications manager on the Windows Client Communications Team, revealed that the offering was available to customers running netbooks pre-installed with the low-end Starter SKU of the latest Windows client.
“Many people who have purchased Windows 7 netbooks in the last few months are likely running Windows 7 Starter. What if you could instantly upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium and take advantage of features like personalizing your Windows 7 desktop with neat Windows 7 themes, or Windows Media Center? The sweepstakes are opened only to users in the US that need to head over to the official Windows blog and leave a comment related to their Windows 7 Starter netbook experience thus far. Microsoft will kick off the sweepstakes at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on April 15, 2010. Entries will be accepted only until 11:59 p.m. PT on April 19, 2010. There’s simply no room for comparison, Home Premium is in a different league compared with Starter in terms of the features and capabilities offered to customers, and more than worth the time to leave a comment for a chance to win.
