No less than 54 Sony VAIO E Series laptops and desktops are up for grabs in the 2011 Windows and Southwest Airlines Holiday Sweepstakes.

Microsoft and Southwest Airlines have partnered for the second year in a row, to offer people in the US the chance to get a free holiday photo of them snapped at some 21 airports around the country as well as in three malls in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.

Free photos aside, there are some rather serious prizes offered by Microsoft and Southwest Airlines via the sweepstakes they launched at the start of November 2011, hosted here.

The duo is prepared to hand out 54 Sony VAIO E Series notebooks and desktops, as I have already said, but also a number of additional prizes.

“A total of 54 daily Sweepstakes drawings to award 54 PC Laptop or Desktop prizes will be conducted over the course of this promotion, corresponding with 54 daily sweepstakes entry periods beginning November 1, 2011 and ending on December 24, 2011 (…) as well as 10 Sweepstakes drawings to award ten 10 Epson Artisan 730 Printers,” reads an excerpt from the official rules for the sweep.

The Grand Prize Drawing will take place on December 27, 2011, consisting of Southwest Airlines tickets for one year, expiring on January 31, 2013. According to the information made available with the sweepstakes, the total value of the prizes up for grabs is larger than $64,000.

In order to enter, users need to visit FreeHolidayPhotos and register. The catch is that they’ll need to to so for each one of the every 54 days of the promotion.

“Sweepstakes entries do not automatically roll over into subsequent daily Sweepstakes drawings, so Sweepstakes entrants must register each day to become eligible for each of the daily Sweepstakes drawings. Non-winning sweepstakes entries do, however, automatically become eligible for the Grand Prize drawing,” reveal the official rules.
