Documentary film “Blackfish” might be to blame for the musician's canceling his show

This coming February, Willie Nelson was supposed to perform at SeaWorld Orlando as part of the marine park's Bands, Brew, & BBQ Fest. It turns out he's had a change of heart and decided to cancel this show.

Speaking to members of the press, a spokesperson for Willie Nelson said that the SeaWorld Orlando performance got canceled due to “scheduling conflicts,” Ecorazzi reports.

Animal rights activists are not buying it, and say that the musician said “no” to the marine park due to documentary film “Blackfish.”

The documentary details the abuses that whales, dolphins, and the like suffer at SeaWorld, and activists are now using it as weapon against this marine park and others of its kind.

Odds are Willie Nelson has also seen it and has decided that it would be best to cut all ties with SeaWorld.

Then again, it is also possible that an online petition explicitly asking that the singer cancel his SeaWorld Orlando show has had a say in the matter. More so given the fact that this petition managed to raise over 9,000 signatures.

It's all just a guessing game at this point, but at least there's one thing that's for sure: SeaWorld is pretty much sinking.
