14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Carbine Studios has come up with a helpful video outlining the changes that came into effect in Wildstar with the release of The Protogames Initiative patch.
Carbine is determined to improve its massively multiplayer online role-playing game Wildstar, and The Protogames Initiative is just the first of the many patches coming to the game this year.
The company aims to overhaul and tweak many of the game's systems, for both PvE and PvP players, in order to offer a more varied and interesting experience to its fanbase.

New things
The shiphands system is one of the most interesting gameplay mechanics in the game, and Carbine has just made them even better, with the introduction of level-50 veteran shiphands dailies, a more beefed-up and challenging variant of the existing missions, with much better rewards. Furthermore, players are now able to access all veteran shiphands through the Group Finder.
The developers have also paid attention to the feedback from newcomers to the universe of Wildstar, deciding to revamp some of the tutorials designed to help new players learn the ropes of going through content and dungeons.
A notable addition to the slew of tutorials is the Protogames Academy level-10 dungeon, created especially to get new players accustomed to the complex group mechanics they have to master in order to achieve progress.
In order to please veterans of the game, the studio has also decided to update dungeon medal calculations, increasing the quality of rewards players can earn in dungeons and raids, and increasing the experience gain from dungeon objectives.
However, one of the biggest changes is the scaling down of the Datascape raid, which is now a 20-man instance, down from the original 40.
