It looks like excited fans need to break the piggy bank once again since all those Nintendo goodies are bound to leave a mark in the gamer's wallet. No less than 27 titles have already been confirmed for the Wii launch. Nintendo gaming site Nwizard was quick to round up the names for the job, a growing list as time gets closer to Wii's arrival in stores.

With such powerful titles, skeptics will have to agree Nintendo plans on hitting that launch date hard. A quick glance over the Wii's starting lineup reveals games like Call of Duty 3, Trauma Center: Second Opinion and Madden NFL 07 alongside Nintendo's exclusives. While there certainly looks to be a nice list of games for the launch, there are also a few titles still in development that Nintendo fans are just dying for: Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl to name just a few.

Last year's Xbox 360 launch saw only 18 new games out of which only a handful were exclusive and 11 were sports titles. Numbers are expected to grow, yet PS3 currently presents just 15 confirmed games available for its November 17 launch. By way of comparison, the Wii counters with more than 20 exclusive titles and its games spanning over numerous genres. Supposedly there are another 151 games currently in development for Wii, so the following list is nothing but a teaser for the next gen console's value.

These titles are confirmed for the Wii launch:

Avatar: The Last Airbender Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII Blitz: The League Call of Duty 3 Cars Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors Elebits Excite Truck Far Cry GT Pro Series Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Madden NFL 07 Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Metal Slug Anthology Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Monster 4x4 World Circuit Need for Speed: Carbon Open Season Rayman Raving Rabbids Red Steel SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam Trauma Center: Second Opinion Wii Sports
