Rip-off!

You may not believe it, but this happens to be true. As there aren't anymore Wii component cables left, eBay auctions are going crazy. A simple component video cable, which normally costs a measly amount of cash, was sold of US$ 260.

This figure might seem huge, as the Wii itself was retailed for US$ 250. Is this market economy or plain rip-off? I know that this cable is currently sold out in US stores, but US$ 260? Get serious! I didn't think that someone could pay this kind of cash on a simple cable, but apparently, plenty of fools walk this Earth.

On top of this US$ 260 you will have to pay an extra 7 bucks for shipping, and aditional US$ 3 if you want the item to be insured.

For this particular auction there were "only" 24 bidders, who managed to increase the price of these Wii cables in just two days, from US$ 21.50 up to US$ 260. Maybe the guy who placed this ad will get himself another Wii for this money. Or he could sell one more and get a PS3. Whatever he does with the money he should consider himself lucky.
