Apple this week officially released the White iPhone 4 Internationally. Customers looking to buy one could place an order at 1:00 AM yesterday in various parts around the world and now, fans of the smartphone can walk in one of Apple’s brick & mortar stores and get one on the spot.

In addition to various Apple retail stores and authorized resellers that stock the phone, operators like AT&T, Verizon, Three, Orange and O2 have received shipments and are more than happy to fulfill demand.

In some areas, the ivory gadget is already sold out, signaling that even after a 10-month delay, the iPhone 4 is still hugely popular. No doubt, the hype and controversy contributed to this success.

Commenting on the availability of the white handset, Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said, “The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it’s beautiful.”

Schiller added, “We appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we’ve worked to get every detail right.”

In an interview with All Things D, Schiller commented on the 10-month delay, saying “It was challenging. It’s not as simple as making something white. There’s a lot more that goes into both the material science of it–how it holds up over time…but also in how it all works with the sensors.”

White models of iPhone 4 are now available in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and the US.

More countries around the world are to receive shipments soon, Apple said in its April 27 report confirming availability of the smartphone.

The gadget costs $199 (US) for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a new two-year agreement with supported carriers.
