Such security guards would simply be too expensive for the President right now

You can’t blame the White House for not having a sense of humor. Those of you who were quick to grab your tinfoil hats when the video above – allegedly of a shapeshifter alien humanoid masquerading as Secret Service – started making the rounds, now have an answer from the Powers That Be.

In a statement cited by Wired, Caitlin Hayden, the chief spokeswoman for the National Security Council, points out that hiring aliens or even robots to guard the President would simply be too expensive.

The budget won’t allow it – after all, we’re still in recession.

“I can’t confirm the claims made in this video, but any alleged program to guard the president with aliens or robots would likely have to be scaled back or eliminated in the sequester,” Hayden says.

“I’d refer you to the Secret Service or Area 51 for more details,” she adds.

In other words, if that’s an alien in the video, it’s not on the Secret Service payroll. Chuckle chuckle.
