14 DAY TRIAL // LeAnn Rimes, once a very in-demand country singer and actress, is broke, the latest issue of Star claims. The full article on Rimes’ dire financial situation has come out and, as per quotes provided by CB, we learn that most of her money went on expensive toys for Eddie Cibrian and plastic surgery for her.
The other day, when the cover of the weekly was released, we only had a few bits and pieces to go on, namely that LeAnn wasn’t making as much money as before, that Eddie was barely making any at all, that things were so bad he actually asked his ex-wife Brandi Glanville for help, that LeAnn feared he might dump her if they went belly up.
The full piece claims that the two have been fighting a lot over money, because LeAnn is determined to make money whichever way she can, even if that means allowing cameras into their home to film a reality series. The biggest problem isn’t her willingness, or lack thereof, to work but the fact that no one’s buying what she’s selling.
Take the reality show as an example: they’ve been shooting for it on and off for 9 months and, insiders say for the tab, they barely have 3 full hours of footage to show for it. What’s worse is that the show was supposed to have aired already and it hasn’t because no one is actually dying to see it, even though LeAnn has been promoting it in interviews already. It might end up getting binned.
Rimes has also been let out of her contract with her record label and it doesn’t look like there are any takers for a new one. Meanwhile, Eddie only gets B-movie offers and these too come only rarely, so it’s not like he’s making a killing with it.
And they continue to spend like there’s no tomorrow.
“They spend money as fast as she makes it… there’s no end to Eddie’s lust for expensive cars, motorcycles, boats, watches and trips,” says an insider.
Her bill at the plastic surgeon is just as impressive, if we’re to believe the report.
“She wanted a six-pack, so she got abdominal implants. She thinks it will help her career – but she really does it to keep Eddie interested. She’s had her eyelids done, her lips plumped and her breasts done too. And she gets fillers and Botox,” another source explains.
Even with all the (alleged) plastic surgery, Eddie already seems to have lost interest: he’s grown tired of all the drama that living with LeAnn implies and the fact that she’s not bringing as much money anymore is also making him not want to make the marriage work.
“He’s been disappearing a lot lately and is very vague about his whereabouts. He will come home at midnight and blow off her questions about where he was. LeAnn is freaking out. Eddie has put up a wall and she feels shut out,” says a spy, adding that it’s almost certain that “he won’t put up with them for much longer.”
