A man from Phoenix, Arizona builds wacky custom wheelchairs, including one with a flamethrower, which is pictured above.

Lance Greathouse started taking an interest in the field after his brother became ill with a rare form of Parkinson's Disease.

Following his death in 2004, he opened Greathouse Labs and begun building mobility scooters with a twist.

The "Lord Humungous," that features the flamethrower addition, can launch flames on a 10m (35ft) distance.

According to Metro, Greathouse is a dental equipment engineer and he has used dental equipment, an electric golf cart, a helicopter seat and off-road tires to build the contraption. It ended up costing him about $1,000 (£645 / €760).

“I love fire and wheelchairs so I thought why not put them together,” he describes.
