The What Kind Of Cloud Are You campaign from Microsoft suggests custom cloud services for users

The “What Kind of Cloud Are You?” campaign is Microsoft's latest in the United States, and it is the company's way of reaching out to IT professionals and developers, and telling them more about Microsoft’s Cloud Services.

The quiz format was the most appropriate, as Microsoft wanted to do a custom presentation for each IT passionate, according to the Windows Club.

Based on the answers to the three questions of the quiz (pain points and concerns), the user will be presented specific content of one of Microsoft's Cloud products - SQL Azure, Windows Azure, AppFabric, etc.

This way, the individual will have his/her specific pain points and fears cleared out thanks to new Cloud capabilities and resources.

Anyone can take the quiz and see what Microsoft cloud service suits him/her best, as well as their business.

The choices include a series of cloud-based IT solutions, like communications, collaboration, data storage, and infrastructure services within the cloud, or a mix of all this, according to your business needs.

The Microsoft Cloud is made of Azure, BPOS and SPLA, under the slogan “The Cloud – We're all in!”.

The work on the Azure platform started three years ago, in an attempt to create a cloud based data center that could be used by applications developers around the world.

During this time, the platform has been constantly changing and adapting, and now it includes Windows Azure, SQL Azure and even Windows Server.

The BPOS, or Business Productivity Online Services (or Solutions) includes Exchange (for Enterprise grade email), SharePoint (for file sharing), Office Communicator (for collaboration) and Dynamics (for Customer Relationship Management - CRM), but also Forefront, Windows Azure, Windows Server and Windows Intune - as part of the BPOS bundle.

Finally, the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) - a subscription licensing program that comes with all Microsoft applications, managed through the Communications Sector business at Microsoft and resold through thousands of Micrsoft SPLA service provider partners around the globe.
