Many interesting uses

Guys love beer and that can be easily seen in beer ads, where besides the actual product, you can see all kinds of sports and beautiful women, mostly naked or who are about to lose their clothes to the happy owner of a can/pint.

But there is more to beer than meets the eye. Many interesting stories circulating on the Internet present the 101, or more, uses of beer, that don't involve drinking it. Some of them are true, some should be checked by the Mythbusters and some are just plain silly.

However, here are really useful tips on what to do with a nice cold can of that booze. First of all, if you are at a barbecue that runs out of control (they tend to do that when the alcohol in the chef's blood is blurring the vision and the attention), you can put out a small fire with a can or bottle of beer.

Just shake it vigorously and point it to the fire; the foam will act as a natural extinguisher, since it's mostly water, but it also covers a large area and it does not maintain fire, as it doesn't have enough alcohol in it. It won't work quite like professional applications, but it will do the job.

Also at a barbecue, you can use the beer to marinate meat, since the fact that beer is slightly acidic makes it an excellent meat tenderizer, according to some nutritionists. Don't worry about eating chicken that tastes like beer, since the brew won't alter the meat's flavor as much as wine- and vinegar-based marinades do.

There is even a recipe for beer barbecue sauce that includes Spanish onions, banana pepper, garlic, tomato paste and Tabasco. Now what can be bad about that mixture on the meat? Nothing at all.

So, if you can part with a few cans of beer next time you're at a barbecue, you may find that this magic liquid is as important as meat in this fun activity. On the other hand, if you're a guy, you probably know that already.
