Several volunteers and wildlife experts are now doing their best to save the life of a whale that has beached on Castle Beach, Falmouth.

Despite the fact that no official information concerning this whale has thus far been shared with the public, it appears that the marine mammal is a pilot whale. SkyNews says that, in an attempt to keep the animal alive until the next high tide, volunteers and trained personnel have wrapped it in sheets.

Furthermore, buckets of seawater are continuously poured on the animal in order to make sure that it keeps wet.

“It's not looking good. It was discovered at 11am this morning and High tide won't be until this evening so we're expecting someone to arrive to put it down,” rescuer Ms. Greenwood reportedly told the press.

Here's hoping that more information will soon become available.
