Apple's New Year starts a week later

I am sure that everybody thinks we're in 2007 now, and - technically speaking - this is the truth. I don't know exactly what Steve Jobs thinks, but my opinion is that Apple still has to step into this year. For iPod's creators, the New Year starts on the 9th of January, at 8PM, and the place is going to be Mezzanine 444 Jessie Street, San Francisco, CA. The attendee party that is going to be held there is already sold out, so if you're not one of the happy people that were lucky enough to get a place there, you'll have to be pleased with attending Macworld and the events that are going to be held there and will allow free entrance.

This year's Macworld Expo is a bit different compared to past ones, since this year there aren't any concealed Apple banners in sight flanking the entranceway to the Moscone Center, and I must say that this isn't something I was expecting. The banners found missing in action this year were traditionally one of Macworld's trademarks to be found on the way leading up to Steve Jobs' opening keynote.

Now, on Moscone Center's entranceway we can notice several variations of the teaser image that appeared on Apple's website last week, a radiant logo of the company set to the tagline "The first 30 years were just the beginning. Welcome to 2007".

If you miss the old banners, you don't have to worry, since they are going to be present at this year's Macworld too, but you will find them suspended above Apple's booth, in the South Hall. I really don't know what to think exactly, since this year's expo seems to be more about a common strategy, and "the year of the Apple" may be seen by Steve Jobs as a new beginning, especially since the new products we all expect this year can be compared to an entire constellation - Apple's phone, iTV, new computer models and who knows what else.

This is going to be more than interesting, and there's only one more day to go, so hurry up and prepare for a new Apple year!
